ONLINE PROGRAMME INFORMATION: ENGLISH AS A MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION (EMI)
This two-week course is designed for academic staff who are using English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) i.e. teaching their academic subject in the English language. The course covers methodology, techniques and strategies which can be personalised to individual contexts.

The Centre for International Training and Education at the University of Leicester has delivered EMI teacher training extensively in the UK and with our partner universities overseas. We have worked closely with universities who are planning to introduce EMI to programmes, as well as departments who have already introduced EMI but are now looking to support their academic staff.

ONLINE PROGRAMME INFORMATION: TEACHING ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES (EAP)
Whereas the EMI programme is designed for all types of courses delivered in the English language, we also offer a specialised English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course. The aims of this two-week course are to give English teachers an insight into the world of EAP teaching and to develop their teaching skills in the context of a British university.
