Forschungsinteresse
Meine Forschung konzentriert sich auf molekulare Phylogenetik, Phylogeographie, Diversifikation und Taxonomie von Käfern. Aktuelle Projekte untersuchen die Artenvielfalt von Blatthornkäfern in Sri Lanka im Lichte ihrer evolutionären Dynamik und der Konnektivität von Käferpopulationen, die in Waldresten in Südafrika leben. Da Arten als Grundeinheiten des Lebens essentiell für die meisten biologischen Disziplinen sind, befasse ich mich mit der objektiven Abgrenzung von Arten. Insbesondere die Kombination von Daten unterschiedlichen Ursprungs, wie zum Beispiel molekularer und morphometrischer Daten spielt eine wichtige Rolle in meiner Forschung.
