    The event series “Lokales Wissen” (Local Knowledge) is to show a map of the discourse on local knowledge and bring together different types and locations of discourse in productive exchange

  • 5 November: ASAP networking meetings and expert discussion “What to do? Do something. Conditions and possibilities of poverty reduction”

  • 15 October: 6th Salzburg Regional Conference on Poverty “youth poverty images”

  • 3 and 4 October: Conference on “Practical Philosophy?”

    On 3 and 4 October colleagues came from the entire German-speaking area at the conference “Practical Philosophy?” to Salzburg. The opening lecture was given by Prof Peter Koller (Graz) on the theme “Ideal and non-ideal morality.” Overall, nearly 60 papers were presented on topics from all disciplines of practical philosophy.

  • 22-24 August: Conference “Justice, Taxation and Social Policy”

    From 22 to 24 August the ZEA organized an international and interdisciplinary conference on “Justice, Taxation and Social Policy”. In addition to the four main lectures, which were held by experts from Europe and the U.S., the program included nearly 30 lectures.

  • 3 July: Awarding certificates for Social Engagement
  • 27 May: Book presentation “Market Economics for the Future”

    In continuation of the book series “Edition Responsibility” the volume “Market economy for the future” was released in spring, edited by C. Sedmak, E. Kapferer, K. Oberholzer. The volume, another child of the cooperation between the ZEA and the ECS (Economic Chamber Salzburg), was presented on 27 May in the premises of the ECS. Accompanied lectures were held by C. Sedmak, I. Uhl and B. Lorentschitsch.
  • 2 April: Symposium in honor of Franz Martin Schmölz OP

    Coinciding with the 10th Return of the death of FM. Schmölz OP as well as the 50th Recurrence of his habilitation at the University of Munich the ZEA invited jointly with the Department of Practical Theology to a symposium entitled “The social man and human society. Franz Martin Schmölz and his political philosophy in the 21st century” in the Edmundsburg. There were many friends, companions and students who remember in lectures and short descriptions the honorees and express his great legacy.

  • 31 January: Ethics:Council. Human-health-medicine

    Together with St. Virgil the ZEA hosted the Ethics Council on Human-health-medicine.
