MorphoPhysics Group

exploring the physical and geometric principles that influence shape changes in biology MorphoPhysicsHeaderImage The group started at the University of Salzburg, Austria in October 2017 and is based in the Department Chemistry and Physics of Materials. We follow on with research started within the research group “Biomimetic Actuation and Tissue Growth” at the  Department of Biomaterials, Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany. Our goal is to develop both theoretical and experimental tools to investigate and test in what way physics and mathematics influence the shape and form of biological tissues.
