General data subject rights

The protection of your data is a matter of personal concern, and we take it seriously. Therefore we would like to inform you in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz – DSG)

  • what kind of personal data we process and for what purpose,
  • which legal bases the processing refers to,
  • to whom your data will be transferred, if transferred at all, and
  • for how long we store or process your data.

You will also receive information regarding your data subject rights, and about who is responsible for the processing of data pursuant to the GDPR, as well as information regarding whom you may address in case of questions or requests.
Your rights
You can withdraw your consent at any time, given that our data processing is based on consent you have given us.
Your withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out due to your consent up until the withdrawal. You have the right to be granted access to your personal data by the responsible person, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, and restriction of data transfer as well as the right to object. You can exercise these rights towards the University of Salzburg by addressing your data protection coordinator directly and verbally, by phone, via e-mail or by post.
