Karin Pühringer is a lecturer and project collaborator. After studying Journalism and Communication Science as well as Political Science at the University of Salzburg, she earned her doctorate in Journalism at the University of Zurich with a dissertation on editorial knowledge management and human resources in newspaper newsrooms. She has been associated with the division of Journalism as a lecturer and senior lecturer since 2003. She has previously lectured at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (Facility Management), the University of Klagenfurt (Media and Communication Studies), the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten (Media, Social Studies) and as a visiting professor at Jianghan University (Business School; Wuhan, China). Research stays have taken her as far as the Indiana University (School of Journalism; Bloomington, IN, USA) and Northwestern University (Media Management Center; Evanston, IL, USA).
