Guest lecture with Mohamed Amjahid on stereotypes of Arabs, toxic masculinity and “white feminism”

At the invitation of the Department of Public Spheres and Inequalities, journalist Mohamed Amjahid presented his book “ Let’s talk about Sex, Habibi” on 30th of November. After a short introduction by Prof. Dr. Hanan Badr, the event was chaired by Dr. Dina Wahba. Welcomed by a large audience, the journalist deconstructed widespread stereotypes about Arabs in the German media discourse in a humorous way. Mohamed Amjahid talked about toxic masculinity, the feminist struggle to liberate women, and his encounters with Women & Queers from Cairo to Casablanca.
