The Language Center of the University of Salzburg offers a varied and diverse course program with courses in 12 languages for language enthusiasts.

In the summer semester of 2025,  the course programme includes  Arabic, Asian languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and many European languages. The programme also includes many special courses such as academic German and English and business English as well as the course “ German as a Foreign Language: Writing  and Grammar B1/B2” for learners of German as a second language.

Extra services for individual language learning

The Language Centre offers a wide range of extra services to enable our course participants to tailor their language learning process to their needs. This ranges from self-study materials in the library and media library, a tandem exchange whereby language learning partnerships are arranged, to the Language Meetups  that take place several times a semester. The programme also includes language learning consultation, which is integrated into the course “Language learning: diverse and individual”.

Course registration is in two phases:

1. Registration period 1: 10th to 13th  February 2025 for Alumni-Club members, staff, external participants and MORE-Students (refugees and displaced persons)  
2. The general registration period for all language enthusiasts (University of Salzburg- and  MOZ-Students) starts on the 17th  February 2025.

• You need to make an appointment to register for a language course.
• Course registration appointments can only be made ONLINE via this page of the Language Centre homepage.
• External participants, Alumni Club members, staff (University of Salzburg and Mozarteum) and MORE students can make appointments from 5th February 2025, 08:30 a.m.
• Registration for an appointment does not mean you are registered for a language course.
• Please allow enough  time for consultation and registration.
• Registration cannot be made by telephone or e-mail.
