Political scientist Dr. Lucy Kinski from the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies (SCEUS) and the Political Science Department at the University of Salzburg has been elected as one of eight new members of the  Young Academy of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW).

She joins an interdisciplinary network of up to 70 already established and award-winning researchers under the age of 40. The Young Academy promotes innovative research fields, works to improve structural conditions in academia, and is represented in various committees of the ÖAW. The new members of the academy received their certificates of membership from Academy President Dr. Heinz Faßmann on 15 May 2025 (pictured).
