1 Staff Research Assistant (SRA) position 15 – 20 hours/week Start date: April 2025 (as early as possible) Interreg VI-A Italien-Österreich 2021-2027: Projekt ITAT-11-001 – FOODIS CUP B99I23000810007   In order to successfully tackle the challenges posed by climate change and international crises, food systems, which are strategically important for the Interreg-programme area Austria – Italy, must be made more resilient and sustainable. This is why FOODIS intends to develop the capacities to absorb innovation and introduce circular processes in the value chains of the food sector. Within the project, a shared cross-border ecosystem will be created between FVG and Carinthia (acquiring strategic know-how also from other regions), considering the contiguity of the territories and the unique complementarity of existing competences and infrastructures, making knowledge, services and opportunities available to enterprises on a cross-border scale. This will include the mapping of needs and opportunities, the definition of a cross-border network in the field of food and sustainable and proximity logistics, two pilot actions with the development of lasting solutions, a sustainability model for the ecosystem and guidelines for policy-makers for policies and investments supporting the circular economy. You will work in an international team with PhD students and Postdocs (working language English).
