Your travels to Salzburg

In accordance with the Guiding Principles of the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg we are trying to organise the symposium with sustainability on our minds. We encourage all participants who live close enough to use trains and public transport for their travels.Some participants may want to stay for additional nights in Salzburg. Unfortunately we cannot offer to book any rooms for your stay in Salzburg and we kindly ask you to contact the hotels directly. Salzburg offers several accomodations:

How to get to the venue

By public transport: Bus tickets can be purchased at kiosks (so called “Trafik”), vending machines or if you directly ask the bus driver (which is a little more expensive). To find the perfect connections via public transport in Salzburg please go to  https://salzburg-verkehr.at/ 

Option 1: From the main station: take the OBUS line 3 to the Josefiau stop (direction Salzburg Süd) and change there to the bus line 22 – this will take you to the stop Bocksbergerstraße
Option 2: From the main station: take the OBUS line 3 (directly in about 11 minutes, or change to the OBUS line 8 from Mozartsteg) to the stop Faistauergasse (direction Salzburg Süd) and walk from there along Faistauergasse, Mascagnigasse, Michael-Pacher Straße (about 5 minutes)

By car: A10 motorway exit Salzburg Süd – direction Salzburg – drive along Alpenstraße until Michael-Pacher-Straße – follow it until the end then you will come directly to the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences (Hellbrunner Strasse 34).You will find parking spaces along Michael-Pacher-Straße (short term parking zone: 3 hours -> please insert parking disc)

From the airport: take the OBUS line 2 (direction Salzburg Zentrum) to the stop Hans-Schmid-Platz; from there take the OBUS line 1 (direction Salzburg Arena) to the stop F.-Hanusch-Platz – there you change to the OBUS line 3 (direction Salzburg Süd). This will take you to the Faistauergasse stop (walk about 5 minutes to the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences via Mascagnigasse and Michael-Pacher-Strasse).
