Research

Within our basic research in psychological assessment, we aim to improve predictions of human behavior. Thereby, for example, we look at different sources of test bias as potential danger to fairness and objectivity, especially in the domain of assessment of cognitive performance. Furthermore, we develop and investigate the possibilities of behavior-based personality test. In addition to computerized procedures for admission tests, we recently developed a personality test for pilots using a flight simulator in cooperation with a constructer of flight simulators. Within the recent years, we also studied features of people with leadership potentials. With reference to practical application of assessment procedures, I focus on the improvement of quality in the use of assessment procedures, of examinations and of psychological evaluations. I am further interested in the development of standards in these fields.
