What will I learn?
In the Master’s degree teacher training programme, students extend the knowledge gained during their Bachelor’s degree in the following fields of specialization: (1) By gaining practical teaching experience, students will be able to use their knowledge and skills in order to teach pupils appropriately, to understand the system of school, and to locate the subject of Exercise and Sports respectively. (2) Students learn to conduct research and to adapt fundamental knowledge of the subject of Exercise and Sport from relevant fields of science (such as sports education, sports psychology, sports ecology, sports sociology, sports biology, kinesiology, biomechanics, training science), thematic fields (healthcare, performance and competition, games and design, social learning, taking risks and experience, security and risk management) and diversity (gender, age, culture, talent/impairments) for teaching at schools.
Which career opportunities do I have?
The Master’s degree teacher training programme qualifies graduates for teaching the subject of Exercise and Sport at all secondary schools (levels I and II). Moreover, graduates are qualified to work in all occupations orientated towards education in the context of exercise and sport, and in research.
