What will I learn?
In the Master’s degree teacher training programme for the subject of Geography and Economy, students deepen their subject-related knowledge and hone their skills and competences in multiperspectivity and teaching methodology. The core is to adjust teaching to the learners’ present and future everyday life, to the social embedding of course content, and to the evaluation of the two domains of geographical and economical education. Central thereby is the comprehensive supervision of practical teaching experience with a special focus on level II of secondary schools, as well as working on students’ ability to supervise school theses and final assignments (e.g., ‘Diplomarbeit’/diploma thesis and ‘vorwissenschaftliche Arbeit’/prescientific thesis). Moreover, the Master’s degree teacher training programme for the subject of Geography and Economy prepares students for conducting independent research on the basis of international research findings.
