Admission Requirements | Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the teacher training programme for the subject of Psychology and Philosophy from the universities that are part of the “Cluster Mitte” or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or from another accredited inland or international institution of higher education. |

What will I learn?
In the teacher training programme for the subject of Psychology students learn about the central psychological concepts, theories and insights which are necessary to understand human behaviour and mental processes. The focus lies on the basic subjects and is complemented by recent knowledge and findings of the various psychological subjects. Furthermore, students acquire empirical research competences. In the subject of Philosophy, students acquire basic knowledge of the history of philosophy and the ability to philosophize themselves. They will have the possibility to practice their new skills in subjects such as theoretical and practical philosophy, in logics and the theory of science. Students will learn how to connect the two subjects of Psychology and Philosophy, especially in their ‘Fachdidaktik’-modules dealing with the respective teaching methodology and during their three teaching practices.
Which career opportunities do I have?
Graduates of the MEd degree course are qualified to teach the subject of Psychology and Philosophy at secondary schools.
