Information about presentation:

This semester we offer a total of four classes:

  • 25 Nov.  GI-lecture
  • 02 Dec   online/hybrid
  • 13 Jan    online/hybrid
  • 27 Jan    GI-lecture

As a courtesy to our doctoral candidates from abroad we offer two of the seminars as online/hybrid seminars. Three of the four dates have to be attended in order to get credits for this semester.

The course of the seminars will be similar to the previous semesters. Progress reports on site should be around 20 minutes, progress reports online should not exceed 12 minutes and should include

  • short overview of current state, including the intended date of defense (1 slide maximum)
  • one methodology or method to be developed OR
  • presenting and discussing a draft of a paper (not submitted yet) OR
  • presenting a case study e.g. in preparation for a conference (not presented yet)

. Discussants will be announced one week prior to the respective seminar.

All classes start at 13:30!

The idea of this seminar is to offer a platform for all PhD candidates in order to gain insights into other research areas, to get in contact with your colleagues and to strengthen research collaborations. More than 50 % attendance is required to earn ECTS for the semester.
