The Uni Salzburg Card is the identification card for students in a cheque card format. It also has a payment function.
The validity can be extended at the Servicepoints (only with a valid enrolment).
Identification Card for Students
The student card is the student identification card in a cheque card format which also includes a payment function. Alongside its function as an official form of photo identification it also enables the identification of students internally (confirmation of affiliation and enrolment in the respective semester for course and exam registration, ÖH Austrian national union of students elections and library card) as well as externally (discounts for students) – The student card enables all students, independent of office and opening times, to take advantage of the various services the university has to offer. This is done via so-called ServicePoints (publically available self-service stations for students).
All students receive the student card at their first personal enrolment from the admissions office. It issued free of charge. In the case of loss, theft or improper use a charge will be made for the issue of a duplicate. (Application for the issue of a duplicate)
There is no personal data saved on the student’s card or the integrated chip except for those printed on the card.
Functions
The student card can be used:
- to extend the validity of the identification card at service points
- as a library card in the university library
- to copy on all copiers and printers in Salzburg University
Service Points
The activation of the student card takes place in the night of the day of issue. All printers and copy machines can be used from the day of activation.
