Master Position in Skin Immunology
We invite applications for a full time Master position in our “Tissue Immune Regulation” group. Our research group focuses on the role of tissue-resident T cells in health and disease. The candidate will be part of a team working on the regulation of T cell responses in the skin in both animal models and patients, with a special interest on the role of skin-immune interaction. Special focus will be on skin functions such as wound healing and barrier formation. As part of a larger research consortium focused on dermatological research (the EB House Austria), we can offer close interaction with clinicians, which guarantees access to patient material and fast translation of new findings to the clinic. Responsibilities: The applicant will be responsible for performing their own experiments with guidance from a PhD student within the research team. Profile: We are looking forward to applications from highly motivated Biologists. Applicants should have a background (class work) in cellular and molecular immunology and be willing to perform in vivo experiments involving mice. Beneficial would be knowledge of flow cytometry. Offer: We offer training in functional cellular assays using immune cells as well as skin tissue cells. You will gain experience in flow cytometry, mouse handling, and expand on your understanding of Immunology. Option to receive part-time employment (“geringfuegige Anstellung”). Starting date: Fall 2017. Interested?

Postdoctoral Research Position in Skin Immunology
We invite applications for a full time postdoctoral position in our lab. Responsibilities: The applicant will be responsible for performing their own experiments within a research team; for supervision of the experiments performed by PhD fellows and master students; for the design of new research projects and/or study protocols; for contact with other research groups within our local collaboration network in Salzburg and other national and international research partners. Profile: We are looking forward to applications from highly motivated and experienced (molecular) biologists / biochemist / bioengineers / or MDs. Applicants should have completed a PhD in Immunology with a strong expertise in cellular and molecular immunology, flow cytometry, and the analysis of patient material (including human T cells) as well as murine in vivo models, preferentially with expertise in skin biology. Any experience in bioinformatics approaches to study the transcriptome of immune and tissue cells is beneficial, but not essential for the position. Offer: We offer a 2-year full time postdoctoral position (start ASAP) with the possibility of extension in a challenging and well equipped research environment with excellent research facilities. The salary will be in accordance with the University salary scales for post-doctoral researchers. Interested?
