The Computational Systems Biology Group led by Nikolaus Fortelny focuses on modelling and predicting regulatory processes in immunity and cancer. We develop advanced statistics and interpretable AI/ML algorithms to study inter- and intra-cellular signaling and epigenetic regulation based on multi-omics, single-cell / spatial data, and perturbation (CRISPR) data. The group has substantial experience in leading data integration efforts in large consortia in collaboration with experimental labs.
