Im CIVIS Blended Intensive Programme arbeiten Studierende und Lehrende aus verschiedenen Disziplinen und Ländern an Lösungen für die globalen Herausforderungen des Klimawandels – virtuell und vor Ort in Salzburg.

16. Juni 2026 | Online: Over the past century and a half, laborers from rural Java, Indonesia, have moved to various regions, near and far. Beginning with local migration in the mid-19th century to expand coffee cultivation, this evolved into overseas migration to all corners of the world. This migration was facilitated by middlemen known as mandor, werek, and migrant worker agents. Without those middlemen, the entire labor recruitment structure in and from Java would be impossible.

28.–31. Mai 2026 | Präsenz: Die Tagung der Austrian Studies Association (ASA) wird dieses Jahr an der Universität Salzburg veranstaltet. Das Thema lautet „Austria as Stage – Austria on Stage / Österreich als Bühne – Österreich auf der Bühne“. Es werden rund 200 internationale Vortragende erwartet.
