1985-1990 Studium der Anglistik und Russistik als Diplom-Erwachsenenbildner – Uni Leipzig Zusatzstudium ´Konsekutives Übersetzen En-D/D-En´ – Uni Leipzig
1990-2007 Lehrtätigkeit an den Universitäten Jena, Canterbury (UK), Chemnitz, Leipzig und Bayreuth auf den Gebieten der Angewandten und Englischen Sprachwissenschaft sowie des praktischen FS-Unterrichts
1995 Promotion – Textstil und Semiotik der Werbung
2003 Habilitation – Verknüpfung von Sprache und Bild im massenmedialen Text
