EU – Horizon Europe – MSCA Doctoral Networks – 2023-DN-01-01

Aim:  MSCA Doctoral Networks (DN) support transnational doctoral programmes with different institutions/organisations from the academic and non-academic sectors. The aim is to improve the career opportunities for researchers through international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility, to strengthen the transfer of knowledge between the participating institutions and to increase the quality of doctoral programmes.will implement doctoral programmes, by partnerships of universities, research institutions and research infrastructures, businesses including SMEs, and other socio-economic actors from different countries across Europe and beyond. These doctoral programmes will respond to well-identified needs in various R&I areas, expose the researchers to the academic and non-academic sectors, and offer training in research-related, as well as transferable skills and competences relevant for innovation and long-term employability (e.g. entrepreneurship, commercialisation of results, Intellectual Property Rights, communication).Proposals for doctoral networks can reflect existing or planned research partnerships among the participating organisations. MSCA Doctoral Networks are encouraged to lead to Industrial or Joint Doctorates.

Requirements: Networks applying must include at least three independent legal entities/institutions from three different EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. At least one of the institutions of the network must be located in an EU Member State. All beneficiaries must employ at least one doctoral candidate for the project.
