Inviting Applications for a Research Assistant – Project SAFEGUARD

An early career research project – funded by the University of Salzburg and led by Dr. Beloshitzkaya – is seeking an undergraduate research assistant to support the project at 8 hours per week.

Employment duration is between 15.06.2024 and 31.12.2025 at the University of Salzburg.

The project seeks to investigate the formation of democratic attitudes in families and across generations in authoritarian, post-authoritarian, and democratic contexts, using oral histories and a newly designed questionnaire.

Required Qualifications:

  • can do attitude and independence in carrying out work tasks
  • understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • background in Psychology, Sociology, Political Science (esp., Comparative Politics)
  • knowledge of/interest in gender studies/feminist scholarship
  • experience with literature reviews preparation
  • knowledge of/experience with qualitative and/or qualitative data cleaning and analysis
  • excellent command of English
  • knowledge of the Czech Language is a plus
