In the upcoming semester, the Language Centre of the University of Salzburg invites all language enthusiasts to explore new languages and cultures. Courses are available in a total of 12 languages.

In addition to courses that focus on general language competencies, the programme also includes a variety of courses with a specific focus:

• German and English academic language
• Business English
• a course for the plurilingual learning of Romance languages: „Learn Romance languages through networking“
• for learners of German: „Culture and language: Austria and more“

Additional services for individual language learning

The Language Centre also offers a wide range of additional services that enable participants to organise their language learning process according to their needs:

• self-study materials and videos in the media library
• language learning partnerships (tandem)
• Language Meetups that take place several times per semester
• Multilingual online language cafés, which we organise in cooperation with the Språkstudion at Stockholm University as part of CIVIS
• Language advising, which is integrated into the course “Language learning: diverse and individual”

Registration for the courses takes place in two phases:

Registration deadline 1: 08–11 September 2025For: alumni club members, staff (University of Salzburg and Mozarteum), external students and MORE students (refugees and displaced persons)

registration deadline 2: 15 September–10 October 2025For: all those interested in languages (Students of the University of Salzburg and Mozarteum)

• Appointments for registration will only be allocated ONLINE on this page of the Language Centre.
• From Wednesday, 3 september 2025, 08.30, appointments for external students, alumni, staff (University Salzburg and Mozarteum) and MORE students can be made online.
• Please note that registering for an appointment does not constitute registration for a language course.
• Please allow sufficient time for consultation and registration.
• Telephone registrations as well as registrations by e-mail cannot be accepted.
