You are safe with me

As June draws to a close, we celebrate Pride Month with an addition to the University of Salzburg e-mail signature. It includes the Intersex Inclusive Progress Pride Flag and the message “You are safe with me”.

What does the new addition to the e-mail signature mean?
The addition of the pride flag is a symbol of acceptance and diversity at the University of Salzburg. The sentence „you are safe with me“ indicates to addressees that the sender respects all identities, including the use of chosen names and pronouns.

Who can use this e-mail signature?
Every person with a University of Salzburg e-mail address can use the new signature. Independent of whether you are part of the Queer Community yourself or want to show your allyship with the Queer Community!

Where do I find a template for this e-mail signature?
The template can be found on the University of Salzburg  Intranet.

Can I use this e-mail signature all year round?
Yes! You can use the new signature all year round, not only during Pride Month.

Are there other elements I can add to my e-mail signature?
If you would like to let people know how you prefer to be addressed, you can add your pronouns to your e-mail signature. The template can be found  here.
