The Deparment for University Communications serves as the central point of contact for all matters relating to press and media services, corporate design, online communications, student marketing, internal communications and employer branding, events, video production and photography, as well as fundraising and alumni relations.
We provide advice and support to staff at the University of Salzburg, offering guidance and practical assistance for both online and offline communications through our policies, standards and guidelines. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Corporate Design & Corporate Publishing
For staff of the University of Salzburg, a range of corporate design templates is available. In addition, we produce and publish key institutional publications and make them available for download.
Press & Media service
Are you a journalist seeking information about the University of Salzburg? Looking for an expert on a specific topic or requiring filming permission on university premises? Get in touch with us – we will be happy to assist you.
Online Communications
Explore the University of Salzburg’s digital communications channels – from our website and social media presence to integrated crossmedia communications.
Student Marketing
Through initiatives such as the Open Day and our participation in higher education fairs, we engage with prospective students. We also welcome newly enrolled students through our Welcome Weeks programme and a range of additional orientation activities. Furthermore, we advise and support University of Salzburg staff on all matters relating to student recruitment and onboarding.
Event Management
We organise central events for a wide range of internal and external University audiences and provide guidance and support for the planning and delivery of faculty- and department-led events.
Employer Branding
We foster dialogue with University staff through a range of events and engagement activities.

Access information on cybersecurity, awareness initiatives and IT security training.

Researchers at the University of Salzburg can apply for funding to support academic publications. Donations from alumni, friends and supporters are gratefully received.
