Language Meetup: My place(s)

11 December 2025 | Presence: The Language Centre invites you to a language meetup on December 11, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in the foyer of the Faculty of Social Sciences (Rudolfskai 42, Salzburg) under the motto “My Place(s)”. The event offers the opportunity to exchange ideas about special places and countries while speaking different languages. There will be several language tables moderated by experts, so that beginners and advanced learners alike can participate. The Language Meetup is free of charge and registration is not required – just drop by and join in. Further information on the languages offered and the schedule can be found on the Language Centre’s website.

5th PEP project meeting and conference on plurilingual education at Roma Tre University

From 20 to 24 October 2025, the 5th project meeting of the EU project PEP (Promotion de l’éducation plurilingue / Promoting plurilingual education, Erasmus+) and the international conference ‘Bridging voices in plurilingual education: policies, research and education’ took place at Roma Tre University. During the project meeting, several work packages were further developed, including Wikiversity departments for plurilingual education, adaptable good practice examples for plurilingual practices in language education, and a hybrid teacher training programme. The conference offered a variety of formats and lively discussions on plurilingualism in education, research and practice.

CIVIS: Slavic Language Café

Thursdays, 9 October to 11 December 2025: online: Do you speak Polish, Russian, Czech, Ukrainian, Croatian, or another Slavic language at B1 level or higher? Then you are warmly invited to the Slavic Language Café – a free online meeting space for plurilingual exchange. The event takes place every Thursday from 12.00 to 12.50 p.m. (CET) via Zoom. Participation is free; no registration is required.
