Jörg Paetzold and Jakob Losert from our Department published a blog contribution on the effects of free public transport on the mobility behavior of people in “Die Presse – Der ökonomische Blick”: “Freie Fahrt für alle: Was kostenlose Öffis mit unserem Mobilitätsverhalten machen (Free Ride for All: How Free Public Transportation Affects Our Mobility Behavior)”. This blog post describes their current research project which investigates whether free public transport can help facilitate a switch from individual transport (e.g. cars) to public transport (e.g. bus or rail).
