Using comprehensive profiling (-omics) and high-resolution spatial imaging techniques, CELLCOMM will provide new insights into cellular communication in disease processes with unprecedented resolution and precision.

Deciphering the complex „cellular crosstalk“ in normal and diseased tissues will provide crucial insights into how the microenvironment influences and deregulates biological processes and pave the way to identifying new clinical biomarkers and developing innovative therapeutic strategies. The planned advanced technology platform is of extraordinary value not only to CELLCOMM scientists, but also to external partners from academia and industry. In-depth characterization of biomolecules, single cell analysis, and spatial genomics will significantly improve drug validation and process development in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, and thereby advance preclinical drug testing.T
