Andrea LINDMAYR-BRANDL – Lebenslauf
Andrea Lindmayr-Brandl studierte Musikwissenschaft und Philosophie sowie Mathematik und Musikerziehung an der Universität Salzburg und am Mozarteum. Nach einem Aufbaustudium an der ‘Schola Cantorum Basiliensis’ (Schweiz) promoviert sie im Bereich der Alten Musik an der Paris-Lodron Universität Salzburg, wo sie heute noch tätig ist. 2001 habilitierte sie sich über Franz Schubert und sein fragmentarisches Schaffen. Nach Besetzung des Österreich-Lehrstuhls an der Stanford University und einer Gastprofessur an der Universität Wien wurde sie 2010 als Univ.Prof.in an ihre Heimatuniversität berufen. Seit 2021 ist sie Obfrau der Kommission für Interdisziplinäre Schubert Forschung an der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften. Sie ist Leiterin mehrerer Forschungsprojekte und ist in zahlreichen Wissenschaftsorganisationen aktiv.
Andrea Lindmayr-Brandl studied musicology and philosophy as well as mathematics and music at the Paris-Lodron University Salzburg and at the Mozarteum, Salzburg. After postgraduate studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Switzerland), she graduated with a dissertation on Ockeghem at the Paris-Lodron University Salzburg. She finished her Habilitation (professorial dissertation) on Franz Schubert in 2001. After holding the Austrian Chair Professorship at Stanford University and a guest professorship at the University of Vienna, she was appointed as Full Professor at the Paris-Lodron University Salzburg in 2010. Since 2021, she has been chair of the Schubert Research Center at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. She directed several research projects and is an active member of many academic institutions and organizations.
