University of Salzburg: Sub-Auspiciis Promotionen and Ehrendoktorat for Emanuel Tov
On Tuesday, 29 January, 2019, Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen conferred doctorates on the Salzburger Christof Kauba and Markus Hittmeir from Vöcklabruck (Upper Austria). In addition, the University of Salzburg awarded the Jewish biblical scholar Emanuel Tov an Eherendoktorat of the Faculty of Catholic Theology.
21 – 23 February: International Legal Informatics Symposium IRIS 2019
This year, the Knowledge Network Law, Economy and Labor, together with the Vienna Center for Legal Informatics (WZRI) of the University of Vienna, has organized what is now the largest and most important scientific conference in Austria and Central Europe in the field of legal informatics: the International Legal Informatics Symposium IRIS. The event will be held from February 21 to 23, 2019, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Salzburg.
