By bus, train and bike through Salzburg

The Salzburg bus network consists of a large number of trolleybuses and diesel buses for local and regional connections. The rail network in and around Salzburg is equally well developed and brings passengers quickly and without traffic jams to their desired destination.

As the city of Salzburg is a manageable size, all routes can also be comfortably covered by bicycle. The cycle path along the Salzach is particularly recommended, as it takes you quickly and easily from the south of Salzburg to the north of the city. You can also cycle along the Salzach to popular excursion destinations, for example to swim in the Anifer Waldbad, to Hallein for ice cream or to relax in the natural Salzach lakes near Bergheim.
