Ars Docendi – National Award for Excellent Teaching

The Ars Docendi, State Award for excellence in teaching, assigned by BMWFW on 13 June, 2016. Three submissions of the University of Salzburg are among the 15 shortlisted winners: Assoz.-Prof. Dr. Elias Felten, Dr. Margareta Strasser, as well as Mag. Katharina Ferris and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andreas Uhl.

ALRAUNE – Tracking Allergies

The research project “ALRAUNE – Tracking Allergies”, together with citizens, researched contributors to developing allergies such as diet, pollution and other factors. Those who are interested can also participate in the research and win great prizes!

New Teacher Training Programme: Students as Learning Facilitators

In the summer semester 2016, for the first time the University of Salzburg will offer a Thematic Module. The Thematic Module “Language of Instruction” is aimed at teaching students of all subjects and is a joint project between the Language Centre, the Department of German, the School of Education at the University of Salzburg and the Diakoniewerk Salzburg. The focus of the module is the role of language in the education system in a multilingual society.
