Call for Papers: Political Philosophy and Child Poverty

The workshop “Political Philosophy and Child Poverty” will take place on August 24, 2016, at the Centre for Ethics and Poverty Research, University of Salzburg, as a pre-conference workshop to its 2016 Annual Conference on “Child Poverty in Times of Crisis”. We invite political philsoophers and theorists to this workshop and to reflect on child poverty. The invited speakers for this workshop are Colin Macleod (University of Victoria) and Serena Olsaretti (ICREA-Universtat Pompeu Fabra).

Call for Papers: 2016 Annual Conference “Child Poverty in Times of Crisis”

The 2016 Annual conference of the Centre for Ethics and Poverty Research and the Austrian chapter of Academics Stand Against Poverty (ASAP) will be on the topic of “Child Poverty in Times of Crisis”. It will take place at the University of Salzburg on August 25 and 26, 2016. The call for paper runs until January 31, 2016.

On 3 November, 2015, a new publication, which was created with the assistance of the Centre for Ethics and Poverty Research, will be presented to the interested public. The publishers/editors of the volume “Betteln fordert heraus” John Dines (Caritas Salzburg), Michael King (Diakoniewerk Salzburg), Helmut P. Gaisbauer (ZEA) and P. Virgil Steindlmüller (St. Peter) answer questions from Elfi Geiblinger (ORF). The event takes place from 19:00 in the Romanischen Saal of the Stifts St. Peter.
