The Department of Economics and the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies (SCEUS) are looking for a PhD student in Economics who is interested in pursuing a PhD in Economics related to the topic of European Union Integration. We are open for theoretical, empirical, or experimental work from all areas in Economics. The PhD position will start as soon as possible (desirably October 2023) and is fully funded for three years by SCEUS.

Christiane Baumeister (U Notre Dame) visits Department of Economics
Christiane Baumeister, the Lambert Family Professor and Co-Chair of the Department of Economics at the University of Notre Dame, visited our department from July 10th to 13th. During her visit, Christiane actively collaborated with members of the PLUS Department of Economics on projects involving the integration of micro and macroeconomic data in econometric models, as well as nonparametric techniques for oil price forecasting.
