High Recognition for Research Achievements in the Field of Oncogenic Hedgehog Signaling
At the invitation of the editors of Blood, the leading and most prestigious journal in hematology and hemato-oncology, Peter Krenn and Fritz Aberger have written an article on new therapeutic concepts using so-called Hedgehog inhibitors, which have recently been approved for the treatment of certain solid tumors and leukemias.
Christian-Doppler Prize for Biosciences and Cell Biology awarded to Nikolaus Fortelny
Nikolaus Fortelny from the Department of Biosciences and Medical Biology was personally awarded the Christian Doppler Prize by Governor Haslauer for his scientific achievements in the field of computational systems biology and leukemia research.
