Lecture Series: Was soll ich tun? Topics and Methods in Applied Ethics

During the Summer Term 2015, the lecture series “What shall I do?” will examine a number of current ethical issues that through social changes bring about (new) technologies and discoveries. It gives an insight into the diversity of applied ethics, its contents and methods.

Panel Discussion: “Darf ich bitten?” How to Deal with Our Poverty

On 11 November, the Center for Ethics and Poverty Research will hold a panel discussion on dealing with visible poverty and begging. The event will take place in HS 301 “Leopold Kohr” at Franziskanergasse 1, 4th floor – from 19:00 to 20:30.

Centre for Ethics and Poverty Research, University of Salzburg, was awarded the “Rose of Human Rights”!

The Center for Ethics and Poverty Research of the University of Salzburg, jointly with other civil society organizations, received the “Rose of Human Rights” for its commitment to the dignified handling of impoverished migrants. “The Rose” is awarded every year on 10 December from the Platform for Human Rights for exceptional contribution to the maintenance and defense of civil and human rights.
