Researcher Christine Lohmeier Is Now a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts
The Salzburg communication scientist, Christine Lohmeier, was recently appointed as a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. She researches “Social Media and the Generations” and examines how family conflicts shift through digital media.
China Centre of the University of Salzburg Celebrates its 20th Anniversary
On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the China Centre will hold a festival on 25 October, 2019, featuring Chinese dance, traditional Chinese acrobatics and music. The China Centre looks back on 20 years, during which it promoted exchanges between Austria and China, as well as through summer exchange programs in both Europe and China. High Distinction for Elisabeth Klaus
On 5 November, 2019, the communication scientist, Elisabeth Klaus, is being awarded the Gabriele Possanner Award for her life’s work. The award ceremony will take place in the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research; the laudation will be given by Professor Nikolaus Benke from the University of Vienna.
