The Austrian Student Union and the city of Salzburg invited the University to attend the 29th Salzburg Lecture. From their direct experiences in the crisis and war zones, the ORF correspondents Mathilde Schwabeneder and Karim El-Gawhary offered insight into the dramatic situation of refugees.

On the occasion of the Salzburg Lecture, “The Fugitive”, organizers of the University, City and Student Union Salzburg asked for donations to the SOS Clearing House Salzburg. There, underage unaccompanied refugees are housed who are supported and promoted in coping with everyday life and to learn German.

Professor Rudolf Taschner will speak on “Ways to Deliver Mathematics” at the invitation of the “Open Mathematics Colloquium Salzburg”, which will be held at the Faculty of Science, University of Salzburg on Thursday, 01 October, 2015, from 18:00 – 19:00.
