PLUS student participates in Gerzensee PhD course

Tobias Scheckel, PhD student at the PLUS Econ Department, had the opportunity to participate in an advanced PhD course given by David Dunson (Duke University) at the renowned Study Center Gerzensee (Switzerland) on Bayesian methods for stochastic network modelling.

The course by David Dunson on state-of-the-art Bayesian methods for stochastic network modelling and lasted for one week. The daily program consisted of lectures and coding labs in the morning and tutoring sessions in the afternoon. Additionally, the course was a great opportunity to connect with other junior researchers, as all participants stayed in the accompanying “Schlosshotel Gerzensee”.
