WAND – Workshop on Analysis of Network Dynamics @ DISC23

The first Workshop on Analysis of Network Dynamics ( WAND) will be held in conjunction with the 37th International Symposium on Distributed Computing ( DISC 2023) and will take place on October 9th 2023 in L’Aquila, Italy, at the Gran Sasso Science Institute. WAND is organized by  Emilio Cruciani,  Francesco d’Amore, and  Isabella Ziccardi.

Scope: WAND is a one-day workshop that focuses on the analysis of network dynamics, namely the study of dynamics both on and of networks. Network dynamics refer to a set of simple protocols that are lightweight and built upon local and elementary rules. Such protocols often turn out to be extremely useful for efficiently solving global tasks: their investigation has therefore become an active research direction in the field of distributed computing. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together researchers interested in studying network dynamics and to facilitate discussions about the strategies and techniques utilized for their analysis and design.

Speakers: Luca Becchetti (Sapienza University of Rome), Robert Elsässer (University of Salzburg), Stefano Leucci (University of L’Aquila), Dimitrios Los (University of Cambridge), Frederik Mallmann-Trenn (King’s College London), Robin Vacus (IRIF, Paris).
