Occupational medicine

Occupational medicine is a preventative discipline in the context of employee protection. It influences the design of workplaces and work processes and aims to avoid health hazards.

According to the Employee Protection Act, the task of occupational health care is to support and advise employers and employees in the implementation of employee protection in the company. It is involved in all issues relating to the prevention of stress at work, such as humane work organisation, health protection and occupational hygiene.

To this end, the occupational physicians regularly inspect the workplaces, are in constant contact with all those affected and work closely with the safety officer and, if necessary, with other specialists.
