Grassland biodiversity

We use ecological network analysis of available data, for example from longterm studies of multitrophic biodiversity in grasslands such as the  Jena Experiment, to elucidate the direct and indirect effects of species loss on flows of matter and energy in natural multitrophic systems. This method constitutes a powerful analytical tool that was originally employed for economic analyses but has recently become more widely used in ecology. This project is led by  Dr. Oksana Buzhdygan.
