The research group celebrates three papers accepted to the ESA 2026 and APPROX 2026 conferences, highlighting significant advances in theoretical computer science and the outstanding achievements of its early-career researchers.

Tijn de Vos has been awarded the Heinz Zemanek Prize 2026 for his outstanding dissertation, “Graph Sparsification in Distributed and Dynamic Settings.” The dissertation was completed at the University of Salzburg under the supervision of Sebastian Forster.

The paper “Incremental (k, z)-Clustering on Graphs” has been accepted to ICALP. This is joint work by Sebastian Forster, Emilio Cruciani and Antonis Skarlatos.
