Dr. Nadine Zwiener-Collins joins the postdoc network “Das Junge ZiF“

Dr. Nadine Zwiener-Collins, Postdoc in Politics & Gender, Diversity & Equality at the Department of Political Science, has joined the renowned postdoc network “Das Junge ZiF” as a Fellow on 1 October 2023. The Young ZiF is the career development programme for Early Career Scholars of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF) at Bielefeld University.

The four-year fellowship, which is awarded in a competitive process, is aimed at outstanding young academics from all disciplines who advance interdisciplinary academic discourse. It offers the fellows the opportunity to expand their professional expertise and to cultivate an intensive exchange across disciplinary boundaries, for example at the network meetings that take place three times a year. The aim of the programme is to promote cooperation between researchers from different disciplines and to foster interdisciplinary research ideas.

Dr. Zwiener-Collins joined the Department of Political Science at the University of Salzburg in April 2021 in a postdoctoral position funded by the State of Salzburg. Her research focuses on women’s political participation, representation, and political attitudes. Furthermore, she researches and teaches the reproduction of gender inequalities through quantitative data from an interdisciplinary perspective and investigates ways to promote so-called critical data literacy.
