Giacomo earned his PhD from the University of Milan in 2017. Before moving to Salzburg, he was an Assistant Professor at the School of Advanced Studies in Siberia, Russia. His research focuses on the metaphysics of time, looking at topics like branching time, the open future, and time travel. He also has side interests in the philosophy of physics, particularly relativity and Bell’s theorem. Here in Salzburg, he is a senior postdoc running an FWF-funded project on the “ The Open Future and the Causally Open Objective Present.
