Religious Studies (Dr. phil.)
What will I learn?
Doctoral students of Religious Studies acquire specific competences to answer relevant research questions. By conducting autonomous academic research, doctoral students contribute to the further development of religious-scientific and/or theological research.

With the Fakultätsschwerpunkt “Theologie interkulturell und Studium der Religionen” (Intercultural Theology and Religious Studies) we focus on different cultural and religious contexts and examine the meaning of faith for the modern post-secular society. University degree: Doktor/in der Philosophie in Religious Studies (Dr. phil.)
Admission Requirements: In order to be admitted to the doctoral programme in Religious Studies, students must hold a Master’s or diploma degree, or have completed a teacher training programme.
