The Panorama:Uni is a joint lecture series of the Paris Lodron University with the Salzburger Nachrichten and Wissenstadt Salzburg. PLUS academics present their current research topics and are available to answer questions from the Salzburg public. The event will take place at the Panoramabar, Neue Mitte Lehen. During the Corona pandemic, the events will take place online.

"Why Old Enemy Images Are Revived"
Helga Embacher, contemporary historian: "Corona, Verschwörungsfantasien und Antisemitismus. Why old enemy images are reviving". In the Corona pandemic, conspiracy myths are booming. World conspiracy myths are coming to life with fantasies that secret powers are deliberately spreading the virus in order to gain control over people. Opponents of Corona measures demonstrate with the Star of David and thus relativize the Holocaust. The contemporary historian Helga Embacher discusses with the journalist Maria Mayer.
