FAQ – Information for Teaching Staff

In which areas can tutors be involved?
Only intended for mandatory courses with an inherent examination component.
There are no tutorials for lectures. -
Tutor Responsibilities
Supplementary support for the course.
No assumption of the primary responsibilities of the lecturers -
When can a tutorial be offered?
Recommendation: from 10 participants.
For field trips: a longer tutorial (e.g., 2 hours) is preferable to several shorter ones. -
Extent in hours
A maximum of the same number of hours as the course itself.
For parallel groups: increase according to the number of groups.
For VU, UV, or VP courses: tutorials are only possible for the practical/seminar component. -
Approval
The application is not a guarantee. Approval is only granted after authorization by the dean. -
Working hours and reporting obligations
A report must be submitted upon completion.
Working hours must be observed:
Overtime: not compensated, may create dependency relationships.
Undertime: affects the budget and reduces the number of tutorial hours available in the long term -
