New CIVIS Call for Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs)
The CIVIS Alliance has published its 7th Call for Proposals for Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs). Lecturers from all CIVIS member universities are invited to jointly develop innovative BIPs for students in the CIVIS network. Colleagues from non-Erasmus+-associated CIVIS universities (University of Glasgow, University of Lausanne and the African partner universities) are also invited to participate.
What is a BIP?
A BIP combines virtual learning formats with a short period of physical mobility. Successful participants will receive between 3 and 9 ECTS, depending on the amount of work and learning outcomes. Recognition is carried out by the respective home university. Lecturers must teach at least 8 hours during the attendance phase. The contents of the BIPs are to be based on the central CIVIS topics:
- Climate, Environment and Energy
- Society, Culture, Heritage
- Health
- Cities, Spaces and Mobility
- Digital and technological transformation
Timeline
-
- Submission deadline: 14 November 2025
- Implementation period: 1 October 2026 – 31 July 2027
Important notes
-
- A “letter of intent“ is required for each participating institution. This should be organized at an early stage, as internal approval processes can take some time.
- Special regulations apply to African partners. Interested parties are asked to contact us directly.
